About Me
My name is Michael Cornell Edwards. My pen name is M. Cornell Edwards, and I have three simple goals as a writer. One of those goals is to become a New York Times bestseller by age 60. I am currently 57 and pursuing an MFA in creative writing. I recently graduated with a bachelor's degree in sociology, magna cum laude. I'm hoping to finish my MFA, secure an agent, and achieve that New York Times bestseller by the time I'm 60. That's three years in the making.
The next goal is to become an online teacher at a university or in any workshop. This goal aligns with the MFA I'm pursuing, as I'm working toward an online teaching certificate. My 3rd and final goal is to write for one or both of the Big Two comic companies.
M. Cornell Edwards is a twenty-six-year veteran of the U.S. Army, currently attending the creative writing program at SNHU. He writes speculative fiction, comic and graphic novels, and short stories. Tackling themes of family, loss, and addiction. He is drawn to horror, science fiction, and thrillers. He would like to continue growing and developing his craft and to work with other writers to help them achieve their goals by teaching. He lives in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, with his husband, family, friends, and their dog, Jackson.
